Fundraisers
Here at Aprille's Danceprints, LLC, we not only have a passion for dancing, but a just as equal passion for giving back to our community. We think that it's important to show our dancers that giving back can bring just as much joy to others as dancing brings to them. During the holiday season, Aprille's Danceprints, LLC has four different fundraisers to help raise awareness to the less fortunate. In October, the studio runs "Costumes for Kids," in December runs "Toys for Tots," in the Spring runs "Dancing for Dinners," and in June runs "Flowers for Cancer." For more information about each fundraiser, please scroll down the page.
Costumes for Kids
Running for the entire month of October, Costumes for Kids is all about raising money for the Connecticut Children's Medical Center and having fun while we do it! For just $5.00 per class, your child may wear their Halloween costume to dance class. Don't have a Halloween costume yet? Dig out those old recital costumes and wear those! Any donation greater than $5.00 is much appreciated by all! We want to help out those who might not get to know the enjoyment that dance brings.
After and before each class during this fundraiser, we will take pictures of everyone that has participated in this wonderful cause! More information regarding the Connecticut Children's Medical Center can be found at their website: CT Children's Medical Center. All pictures, as well as updates about Costumes for Kids, will be posted on our Facebook page, which can be reached by clicking on the top right corner of the page!

Dancing for Dinners
Running for the duration of the Spring, Dancing for Dinners is focused on collecting non-perishable food items for the Ellington Crystal Lake Community Food Pantry. Every week, this food pantry helps out 30 to 35 local families that have fallen on hard times. Keeping this food pantry stocked for the Holidays is a challenge, so every donation helps towards putting a nice hot meal on a table to a family in need.
If everyone donates 2-3 non-perishable food items or more throughout the month, we can pack a car full of items and more for this food pantry! Updates about Dancing for Dinners will be posted on our Facebook page, which can be reached by clicking on the top right corner of the page!

Flowers for Cancer
During the weeks leading up to our recital in June, families have the opportunity to order flowers for their children after their performances in the recital. Sales also run during the recitals, so family members that have traveled to see their dancer have the opportunity to purchase flowers. Within everyone's life, they will come across individuals that have either had cancer, survived cancer or know someone that has faced the challenges of cancer. In 2012, the studio lost our very own, Judi Kelly, who was known for her signature finales during the recital, to Ovarian Cancer. Since her diagnoses, Aprille's Danceprints, LLC has donated all the money made from selling flowers for recital to the American Cancer Society.
More information regarding the American Cancer Society can be found on their website: American Cancer Society. Updates about flower prices will be posted on our Facebook page, which can be reached by clicking on the top right corner of the page!
