Studio Policies
Safety/Behavior Expectations
We want to remind everyone that the waiting room is a place for dancers and their grown-ups to wait for class to begin or end. Please review what the studios expectations are while in the waiting room:
We would like to keep the waiting room open, however, without the cooperation of our dancers, their grown-ups, siblings, and/or guests we will be forced to go back to a closed waiting room, and dancers waiting with parents outside.
- There is absolutely NO TUMBLING/STUNTING allowed in the waiting room. This is a huge safety issue, and we ask that all grown-ups remind their dancers of this. The same applies to outside areas, tumbling/stunting is NOT ALLOWED.
- All children (dancers, siblings, etc.) should be supervised by an adult. Children should not be left unattended as the waiting room is not monitored, and instructors cannot teach a class and keep their eye on what is happening in the lobby.
- Anyone in the waiting room should be seated quietly. There should be no running around, horseplay, playing in the restrooms, etc.
- Noise levels should be kept low and to a minimum out of respect for our teachers and their classes. Loud activity in the waiting room can be very distracting as it can be heard in the studio.
- Please be sure to clean up any food/drink spills. Please be sure to throw all trash away.
- There should be no standing on the benches in the waiting room or jumping on/off them.

Attendance
Students are expected to be on time, dressed for class, and committed to regular attendance. Missing multiple classes causes them to fall behind on technique and choreography. Students who fall behind may be required to take private lessons to catch up with their class. Classes missed for personal reasons, including vacation, school events or illness still require payment. Extended absence for illness or injury requires a doctor’s note. If multiple classes are missed and a student falls behind, they may be dropped a level and/or removed from performing in their class's recital dance at the end of the year, as decided by their instructor. This is in fairness to the dancers who are committed to their class and work hard each and every week. If a student has missed a class, it is THEIR responsibility to talk to their instructor to find out what was missed and what needs to be learned.
Absence Notification: Please email the studio at danceprints@comcast.net if your child is going to be absent.

Registration Policy
Returning Students: All returning dancers should register for fall classes in early summer. Forms are available at recital and in the studio during Summer Dance Camp. We cannot hold spots for returning dancers without completed registration forms and paid registration fee. Class availability is first come first served; there is no spot guarantee in a class without a completed and paid registration.
New Students: We will accept registration for new students starting August 1st through September 30th, or until classes are at capacity.
Waitlist: We will add students to a waitlist should class reach capacity. As schedules and class placements are adjusted, we will go down the waitlist to add students in should spots become available.
